Osstell
Osstell develops instruments to measure the stability of dental implants. The purpose of the instruments is to avoid premature loads and shorter treatment time. In addition, they have a cloud platform, Osstell Connect, that will give insights and statistics that can help a clinician make better treatments.
The Mission
QueensLab and Osstell joined forces in the creation of the Consultation module, an interactive and unique tool in the dental MedTech sector, designed to help dentists and dental hygienists explain and visualize dental treatment to their patients.
It aslo helps patients understand their dental issues and the proposed solutions, thereby increasing their perceived value from the treatments.
One of our frustrations has always been in terms of patient management to get them to understand what it is that their problems are, and then to be able to explain to them how we are going to fix it.

The Challenge
Doing implant treatment typically comes with a lot of questions from patients about the duration, appearance, cost, and pain involved. There was a need for a tool to be able to better describe, visualize and explain an implant treatment for the patient, including the procedure and the cost.
Current visual tools have been inadequate and leading to frustrations in patient management. X-rays or bloody videos of how an implant treatment works can be scary, making the patient uncomfortable and even discourage the patient from taking the treatment.
The Solution
Queenslab developed the new Consultation module as a part of the Osstell Connect platform, with focus on providing clear explanations and visualizations of treatment options. By presenting the information in a less intimidating manner, using a more approachable, cartoon-like style to tailor treatments to individual patients, the consultation process is more engaging and effective.
The Result
Queenslab delivered a web version of the Consultation tool and one native version designed specifically for tablets.
We have been using products like this for a long time but they haven't been well-developed. This one on the other hand I think is going to be really helpful, really useful and a really valuable part of the Osstell Connect platform.
