BELID
Belid is one of Northern Europe’s leading lighting manufacturers and offers high quality lamps inspired by Scandinavian design for both B2B and B2C markets. Since the company was founded in 1969, they have achieved solid knowledge and experience in producing lighting with the vision of developing premium lamps. Belid is a part of Belid Lighting Group.
The Mission
With Belid's new brand strategy, the entire brand needed a re-designed to better match the new identity.
QueensLab created a new visual identity for Belid with the purpose to change the way Belid was viewed - from being an everyday brand to high quality and design focused. This included, logotype, print material, a new website and a digital product catalog, as well as 3D models of their products.
We also created 3D models and scenes of Belid's products, to be used at the webpage, in print and marketing.

The Challenge
In 2020, Belid went through a major change in brand strategy and Belid Lighting Group was created as a house of brands. Belid Lighting, as it was formerly known, was transformed into a pure product brand as a part of the group.
The challenge was to tie Belid's overall brand strategy together in a good way and to give the new Belid a new visual identity. At the same time it was important that there were synergies and recognition from Belid Lighting Group, while still having its own touch.
The new strategy also included to re-design the brand from an everyday brand to a premium brand without losing too much of its target group. It was important that the old customers recognised the "new Belid", but at the same time saw a clear change of the brand.
The Solution
To create a visual identity for a brand that stands for Scandinavian premium design, we drew inspiration from Varberg's coastline with sandy beaches, dark sea and magical soft light. This ties the knot with the new design for Belid Lighting Group, which is similarly influenced by the nature of southern Sweden.
The new website and digital product catalog was developed with modern technology, using the content management system Sanity. An integration was built between Sanity and Belid's ERP system to sync the product data.
The Result
QueensLab created a new visual identity for Belid that laid the foundation for the brand to exude premium feeling, Scandinavian design and be a leader in the lighting industry.
This included, logotype, print material, a new website and a digital product catalog with a new CMS, and 3D models of their products.
QueensLab was nominated for the Swedish design award for the design of the re-branded visual identity.
